DRINKING & OPIOID USE IMPACT WI LIFE EXPECTANCY

People are looking at a shorter life expectancy in Wisconsin, and a new report says drugs and alcohol are to blame.

The report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum says life expectancy in the state for a baby born between 2015 and 2017 is 80 years.  That’s down from 80-point-two years for babies born just two years before that.  Researchers say more drinking and the rise in opioid-related deaths are to blame.
