An Eau Claire County sheriff’s deputy and an Augusta police officer have been ruled justified in killing a man.
According to a recent report from the Eau Claire County district attorney, Officer Levi Stumo shot and killed Tyler Meier during a confrontation between Augusta and Fairchild back in March.
The report says Meier attacked Stumo and Deputy Daniel Eaton multiple times, causing Stumo to shoot him. Stumo said he feared for his life and thought Meier was trying to take his gun.
