An Eau Claire burglary suspect is still on the loose even though someone says their father hit him with a hammer.
The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office says multiple burglaries were reported at three o’clock Monday morning in the West View Acres neighborhood. Residents say the suspect stole several thousand dollars worth of items from cars and campers in the area. One resident says their dad hit the suspect in the head with a hammer but he ran off. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office.
