TUITION PAYS FOR FREE CAMPUS SPEECH OPTIONS?

A pair of Republican lawmakers in Madison want the University of Wisconsin to get tougher on students who shout-down or try and drown-out competing ideas on campus.

State Senator Chris Kapenga and state Rep. Cody Horlacher yesterday introduced what they’re calling the campus free speech act.  Their plan would have the UW System recognize that all students have a right to free speech.  The lawmakers also want the university to create a policy to punish students who try and interfere with that right.
