Five Wisconsin mayors are joining colleagues across the country urging lawmakers to take action against gun violence.
The mayors of Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Sheboygan and Wisconsin Rapids all signed on to the effort to close loopholes in background checks and extend the waiting period to purchase firearms. Over 200 mayors are asking Congressional members to cut their summer break short and return to Washington to work on the issue.
The mayors say whether their city is large or small the impact of gun violence is everywhere.
