UPDATES FROM BARRON CO: STORM CLEAN UP, VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Barron County Authorities would like to thank the community for the overwhelming support and offers of help with the Barron County severe weather event on July 19th .

Volunteers to help with storm debris clean-up will be accepted Friday July 26 th and Saturday July 27 th 2019 7:00 am to 7pm at the Barron County Justice Center, located at 1420 State HWY 25, Barron WI.

If you have received damage from the July 19 th , Barron County storm and would like to request assistance, please call 211. Additional resource information is also available by calling 211 or going to the Barron County Website: CLICK HERE TO MAKE IT EASY! Volunteers must check in at our volunteer reception site. By checking in volunteers receive liability coverage. Every hour volunteered provides financial relief to local towns. Volunteers will be driving to work sites.

All volunteers must bring picture ID, wear closed toe shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirts, safety glasses, and work gloves. Volunteers should bring their own bag lunch. Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.
Volunteers for onsite clean-up efforts ages 14-17 are welcome wit completed registration form signed by a parent or guardian. The form is available HERE.

Volunteers may bring the completed form to the volunteer reception
center to speed the registration process. Volunteers will need to present a driver’s license or photo ID when registering.
