Deer hunters in west-central Wisconsin have new recommendations for the 2019 hunting season.
The Chippewa Valley Chronic Wasting Disease Advisory Team met in Rock Falls yesterday to discuss the disease. To keep it from spreading, the team is recommending hunters have every adult deer that’s killed tested and have every deer harvested on gun opener weekend registered with the Department of Natural Resources. These regulations are only recommended in southwestern Eau Claire County, southeastern Dunn County, and northeastern Pepin County.
