Cities, towns, and counties across Wisconsin are about to go on a road-building boom.
The state’s Department of Transportation yesterday said the new state budget will send over 145-million-dollars to local governments across the state for road projects. The general transportation money is earmarked to help local governments keep-up with their needs. The new budget also includes about 33-million-dollars a year in new money for local governments, that money will start to be paid after the first of the year.
