The top Republican in the state Assembly says it’s time to start talking about medical marijuana in Wisconsin.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday said he’d like to see lawmakers get serious about medical marijuana in the fall. Vos and other Republicans brushed-off Governor Tony Evers’ suggestion for a medical marijuana program because they said it was just a step toward legalization. The top Republican in the state Senate, Scott Fitzgerald, has opposed loosening the state’s marijuana laws for years.
