Scammers are exploiting a firefighter’s death in Appleton.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office says it has received reports of a caller claiming to be raising money for the family of murdered firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard. Lundgaard was shot and killed in the line of duty while answering a medical call last week. Authorities say only the Lundgaard family’s official GoFundMe site is authorized to raise money in his name.
