SECOND CHANCE FOR FIRST OWI?

SECOND CHANCE FOR FIRST OWI?

Drivers in Wisconsin who don’t drink and drive for six months after their first OWI conviction could get a second chance.

Senator Chris Larson is one of a handful of lawmakers who want to allow first time drunk drivers to voluntarily install an ignition interlock as a way to earn a second chance.  Larson says about 10 percent of drivers in Wisconsin have an OWI conviction, and he hopes his plan will let some of them clear their names.
