A new study released by the Wisconsin Department of Health shows Wisconsin’s older population living longer.
However, there were more deaths in the state overall. The Badger State had a 14-percent increase in deaths in 2017 compared to the ten years prior. But the death rate among Wisconsinites over the age of 65 decreased by ten-percent in that decade.
The top three causes of death are heart disease, cancer and unintentional injury, like falls.
