OLD DNA KIT TESTING LEADS TO NEW CASES

Wisconsin’s Attorney General says prosecutors are pushing ahead with five cases made because the state tested old DNA kits.

Attorney General Josh Kaul on Friday said the five cases were the first to be turned over after labs tested almost one thousand old sexual assault kits.  Wisconsin is working its way through about six thousand of the old kits.  Kaul says the tests have lead to charges in Winnebago, Waupaca, Rock, Oneida, and Milwaukee counties.
