One Wisconsin lawmaker wants to make sure you know how much you’re paying the government every time you fill up.
Brookfield state Rep. Rob Hutton want to put stickers on gas pumps in the state that show the state and federal gas tax. Right now, drivers pay just about 33 cents-per-gallon in state taxes, and another 18-and-a-half cents in federal gas taxes. Governor Evers wants to add another eight cents to those taxes. Hutton says people deserve to know what they are paying for.
