Bloomer’s police chief should know by the end of the week if he’ll keep his job.
The city’s police commission met yesterday to talk about what to do with Chief Jared Zwiefelhofer. He pleaded no contest to a series of hunting violations from last year. Zwiefelhofer has already stepped down as chairman of the Chippewa County Board. Bloomer’s police commission said it will deliver a decision about his future with the department by Friday.
