Police in Vernon County are investigating a homicide.
The county sheriff’s office says it responded to a home in rural Chaseburg on Saturday when a man reported suspicious activity. Police say they found a dead man outside the home who was identified as 75-year-old Stuart Warner from Arizona. The caller, David Stowe, was later arrested after police determined a gun was used in the incident. He’s charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
