Lawyers for UW football player Quintez Cephus are dropping their federal civil rights case against school officials for now.
On Thursday, they dropped the case which alleges that a disciplinary investigation violated his rights. But yesterday, they said they will refile it after Cephus stands trial for sexual assault. Last August, Cephus was hit with two allegations of sexual assault filed by separate women. The two women claim Cephus had sex with them at his apartment while they were too intoxicated to consent. His lawyers insist that the sex was consensual. The trial begins on July 29th.
