OH DEER! WEATHER AFFECTS HERD NUMBERS

Wildlife officials are saying that the rough Wisconsin winter could affect harvest quotas for antlerless deer next fall. 

Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologists said yesterday that the winter will have a moderate to severe impact on the spring deer population.  County deer advisory councils around the state are meeting to make early harvest quota recommendations for next fall.
