A man who was shot by police in Eau Claire County is going to prison.
Reese Diesterhaft was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison in Dunn County followed by five years of supervised release for leading police on a multi-county chase last August. A criminal complaint says Diesterhaft was hoping to get shot because he had already been sentenced to ten years in a South Dakota prison for a separate crime. The two deputies involved in the shooting have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
