After record snowfall, we have to have somewhere to PUT it. The public is being asked to adopt a Storm Sewer Drain.
Warm temperatures and rain are in the forecast! City of Altoona Public Works crews will be focusing on clearing storm sewer drains over the next few days in order to minimize flooding from the snowmelt.
If you know where your storm sewer is, please Adopt a Storm Sewer drain and do what you can to clear an opening so rain and melt can run off our roads and down the drain!
