One person is in custody after a standoff with authorities on Interstate 90. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department was alerted to a stolen vehicle from Marquette County possibly being in the area on Saturday morning. Reports indicate the vehicle was found on I-90 near Sparta, and that the driver fired a single gunshot from the vehicle upon deputies arriving, leading to a 45-minute event which culminated in the suspect’s arrest. No injuries were reported. The interstate was shut down for nearly an hour.
