REMINDER FOR SEPTIC SKEPTICS

Frigid temperatures and a lack of snow can become a problem for septic tank users.

Experts say the snow is important for those who live in rural areas because it acts as an insulator, keeping things like pipes from freezing over and causing sewage problems.  This winter’s frost is believed to have already reached three to four feet below ground, and will continue to deepen with sub-zero temps ahead.  Residents can avoid plumbing issues and septic problems with minimal water use.
