The suspect in the kidnapping of a Wisconsin teenager and the murder of her parents is due to make his initial court appearance on Monday. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald remarked that Jake Patterson will be charged with two counts of homicide and one count of kidnapping.
His alleged victim, 13-year-old Jayme Closs, is said to be doing well considering the circumstances and has been reunited with a family member as of yesterday. Closs had been missing since her parents were found murdered in October.
The Barron County Sheriff says the man believed responsible for kidnapping Jayme Closs targeted the 13-year-old and planned her abduction. Twenty-one-year-old Jake Patterson is charged with kidnapping the teen and killing both her parents in October.
Closs was rescued yesterday about an hour north of her home in Barron after she was able to escape a cabin where she was being held and was found by a woman walking her dog.
