JAYME CLOSS FOUND SAFE!

We are happy to report the news a lot of us have been hoping to hear as authorities say 13-year-old Jayme Closs has been found alive. 

Investigators said yesterday evening that Closs had been located in the Town of Gordon-that is in the far southern part of Douglas County.  A suspect was taken into custody just before 5 p.m. yesterday evening. We don’t have many more details about how she was found, but authorities are expected to release new details today and we will keep you posted as we know more. She had been missing since October 15th when her parents were found shot to death in their Barron County home. 

Authorities are expected to release new details today after 13-year-old Jayme Closs was found alive.  The Barron County Sheriff’s Department reported yesterday that the teen had been found safe in Douglas County.  A suspect was taken into custody in the Town of Gordon, where Closs was found.  Authorities haven’t spoken about the circumstances surrounding how Closs was found. 

Jayme Closs’s aunt Jennifer Smith says her family is relieved the 13-year-old girl has been found.  Her cousin posted to Facebook shortly after the Barron County Sheriff’s Department announced that the missing teen had been found safe in Douglas County.  She thanked law enforcement and the community for their support since Closs went missing October 15th, the same morning her parents were found shot to death in their Barron County home.
