The La Crosse City Council will decide the fate of a new Veterans Affairs transitional house in Tomah this week.
The Farnam Street property was donated to the Tomah VA about three months ago but residents are concerned about the effect it will have on the area. Officials with the VA say other VA’s around the country have had success with this type of residential housing. If the city council allows it’s use it would likely be months before any veterans move in.
