Eleven local ski jumpers are podium finishers at the 87th annual Flying Eagles junior tournament. If you were admiring the photos in the Leader Telegram, you saw some of the 15 Flying Eagles who competed among 48 skiers from eight clubs in four different states over the weekend. Highlights include a 12-year-old from Chicago who broke the 30-meter jump record with a flight of 31 meters and multiple Flying Eagles first-place finishers.
