WINDOW PROPOSAL HARD “SILL” TO LAWMAKERS?

Madison businesses that leave their doors or windows open could be fined under a new proposal.  The proposed ordinance would fine businesses 50-dollars for a first offense and one-hundred dollars for a second.  For any third or subsequent offense, they would be charged 250-dollars.  The proposal, which comes amid the ongoing fight against climate change, will be introduced next week.  The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce is currently reviewing the proposal.
