A Sterling Township man has serious injuries after police say a homemade explosive device blew up in his hand. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to 50-year-old Eric Schueller’s house Tuesday on a report that he had blown his hand off.
When police arrived they say Schueller had injuries consistent with and explosion and he was taken to Regions Hospital in life-threatening condition. Bomb technicians have since removed all explosive materials from the man’s house.
