SLOW DOWN TO LEARN FAST

Monday was World Stroke Day and officials across Wisconsin are urging people to be aware of signs of this potentially deadly event.

Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in Wisconsin and the state ranks 36th highest in stroke-death-rates in the country.  Someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds and every four minutes someone dies of stroke.  The CDC urges people to look for signs of stroke using the word FAST, which stands for facial weakness, arm weakness, speech difficulty and time-loss is brain-loss.
