Rain, rain go away…not YET! And as the rains continue to come down, the rivers go up on the Chippewa River in Eau Claire.
At 10:00 a.m. the Chippewa River gauge at Grand Avenue read about ten (10) feet below the downtown flood stage.
Recent and forecasted rain in the upper Chippewa watershed is likely to result in rising gauge readings likely to crest around Friday afternoon. At this time trails remain open – but just a heads up to be aware on those jogs and dog walks.
