October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we now know that recent statistics say Breast cancer will develop in about one in eight women during their lifetime. In Eau Claire County, data shows that the percent of women age 50+ that report having a mammogram in the past 2 years was lower than that of the state percentage (73.8% in Eau Claire County vs. 80.8% in WI).
Experts urge women to consult their doctors for screening options.
