A boating accident on Lake Wissota leaves one dead and a recovery operation is underway for a second man. It happened over the weekend when a pontoon was found with only a dog aboard on Lake Wissota.
The boat was found Saturday, up against the shoreline south of the Rod and Gun boat landing near the dam. Crews searched the area and found the body of a 50-year-old from Minnesota. The other 22-year-old man is still missing, but the Chippewa County Sheriff says that at this point it is a recovery operation.
