A 24 year old Massachusetts man was arrested in Menomonie for driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle. It was just after 12 on Sunday morning when 24 year old Robert Smith Harris was speeding and didn’t stop for officers.
During the chase, the vehicle was stopping at every intersection and signaling all turns and officers followed him for about 3 miles. Harris pulled into an apartment complex. A felony stop was conducted by the Trooper and Menomonie Police Officers and the 24 year old driver was taken into custody without incident. There was also an 11 year old male passenger in the vehicle who was turned over to his mother.
