Oh DEER! The Wisconsin DNR and the Wisconsin Conservation Congress will be hosting a public meeting to discuss chronic wasting disease. Wild deer in Eau Claire County tested positive for CWD in March. The Chippewa Valley CWD advisory team is recommending voluntary surveillance permits for landowners willing to help get tissue samples for testing.
If you are interested in being a part of that discussion, the meeting will happen August 20th at Rock Creek Town Hall.
