Notebooks, folders, pencil boxes, and ….safety grants? Add that to the Back to School list as State AG Brad Schimel is handing out more school safety grants for area schools and was in our area and halls yesterday at Northstar Middle School announcing grants for the Eau Claire Area School District and Regis Catholic Schools.
He says the goal of the grants is to prevent incidents from happening at schools and to get kids help sooner when they do. State officials say there will be a second round of grant funding that must be applied for by August 15th.
