We have an update from Sun Prairie as state records say the contractor that struck a gas line in the downtown causing a leak that led to an explosion that leveled a city block wasn’t registered to do business in Wisconsin.
The Michigan-based VC Tech was hired by a Kansas-based company to help install new fiber optic cable lines in the Madison suburb. It’s not clear if the Michigan company had to be registered to work as a subcontractor.
