Paint Bridge Creek is falling down, falling down, falling down…Demolition of the Paint Creek Bridge in Lafayette is underway.
The process of tearing down the bridge began Wednesday and should be done with a bang by July 4th. The cost to Chippewa County for removing the bridge is estimated at 65-thousand dollars. The state has awarded money to construct a new bridge, with the county and township pitching in as well.
