Demo is underway for the Paint Creek Bridge in Chippewa County. Officials say construction began yesterday.
The bridge has been closed after a partial collapse in May. The Town of Lafayette is sharing the cost of demolishing the bridge with Chippewa County. Officials say the bridge should be removed by Fourth of July weekend, with a new bridge open by July of next year.
