U.W.-Platteville is temporarily suspending its men’s cross-country season.
The move comes as the university begins an investigation of reports of hazing. In addition to the season suspension, Coach James Akita has been placed on paid administrative leave. A spokesperson for the university says that their priority is to support students involved, while ensuring the matter is investigated as thoroughly, fairly and promptly as possible.
