Governor Tony Evers visited a nonprofit in Omro this week to promote renewable energy.
As of this past spring, more than three-million dollars was awarded in grant money to support solar investments for 270 different projects. While speaking at Casa Esther, Evers said “they’re putting solar on the roof. they have put it on, and looks like it’s gonna work well” and “save them significant money.” The foundation recently received a five-thousand dollar grant towards its new solar panels as part of the “Renew Wisconsin” initiative.
