Renovations are coming to the jail in La Crosse County.
The La Crosse County Board approved a one-point-three-million dollar project to upgrade its facility. The money will go towards the design and construction of additional special-needs unit, improving housing for incarcerated women and addressing mental health and safety concerns. The jail was last expanded in 2010 and currently houses 137 people.
