Wisconsin’s Democratic Party is asking the state elections commission to let primary voters change their ballots if a candidate drops out of the race.
Earlier this month, the elections commission approved new guidance that said absentee voters who already mailed in their ballots would not be able to change it. The guidance came days after Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez withdrew from the contest and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley re-entered the race. But Elections Commission Chair Don Millis says the panel has no plans to change its guidance.
