A private healthcare school in Milwaukee is getting a massive financial gift.
The Medical College of Wisconsin announced yesterday a 27-million-dollar donation to be used toward cancer research. Wisconsin business operator Tim Michels and his wife Barbara are behind the gift, whose daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer at a young age and has been battling ever since. In a statement, Tim Michels said the investment was made because they believe doctors can turn “today’s breakthrough cancer discoveries into tomorrow’s cures.”
