Wisconsin’s attorney general is not saying how many of the 100 cases of clergy abuse he’s investigating are new.
A-G Josh Kaul yesterday said he’s gotten tips about several cases and gotten spotty cooperation from Catholic churches across the state. Most notably, Milwaukee’s archdiocese has refused to cooperate with Kaul’s investigation. The church has said the investigation is focused just on Catholic churches and includes cases that were long ago investigated and settled.
