Capitol Opens to Public Again

The Wisconsin state capitol building reopens to the general public this week.

Governor Tony Evers office announced yesterday that the building will open after being closed due to the Governor’s COVID-19 restrictions.  The public is to be allowed back inside the building from 8:00-a.m. to 4:30-p.m. beginning this coming Monday.  There will be no evening or weekend hours.

Only lawmakers and staffers have used the building while members of the public have not been allowed inside since March of last year.
