“LEAFing” Behind a Legacy on Arbor Day

“LEAFing” Behind a Legacy on Arbor Day

It is Arbor Day, which was founded in 1872 to inspire people to plant, nurture and appreciate trees.

Wisconsin celebrates Arbor Day in conjunction with Earth Day, which was April 22nd.  Governor Evers designated this week as Forest Appreciation Week, urging Wisconsinites to spend time outdoors and show their gratitude towards the professionals who dedicate their time caring for the state’s trees and forests. The Wisconsin state tree is the Sugar Maple, which is also a state symbol for New York, Vermont and West Virginia.
