WI Elections Commission Reviews Court Ruling

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is not saying what the state Supreme Court’s ruling on voter purges means for the next election.

The Supreme Court on Friday said local clerks, not the state, are responsible for removing over 70-thousand voters who have either moved or not voted in years. The Elections Commission on Friday said it is reviewing the ruling. Conservative groups in the state say the ruling sets back efforts to make sure only eligible voters can cast ballots in Wisconsin. Liberal groups are cheering the ruling.
