Wisconsin’s ban on shutting off the power is ending, and western Wisconsin’s power company says that means people need to make arrangements for their past-due bills.
Xcel Energy says anyone who owes should make a payment arrangement as soon as possible. Wisconsin’s moratorium on disconnections ends on Thursday. Xcel’s Chris Ouellette says that doesn’t mean the power will be shut off that day, it simply means the process to shut off the power will begin.
