Back to the Redrawing Board

The Wisconsin Supreme Court doesn’t appear to want to draw the state’s next political map. More coverage with Jon DeMaster brings us details from the bench:

The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty yesterday asked the high court to adopt rules that would keep the legal battle over the state’s next legislative map in state courts. A federal court ordered Wisconsin’s last map redrawn. Conservative Chief Justice Paige Rogensack said taking on the responsibility of the map would make the court a proactive player in the process. WILL’s Rick Esenberg expects this year’s map to go to the courts because he doesn’t expect lawmakers and Governor Evers to be able to agree.
