Taxing Times in WI?

Taxing Times in WI?

A new report says Wisconsin’s tax burden is down.

The Wisconsin Policy Forum released a report yesterday that says the total tax burden in Wisconsin fell to just over 10-percent last year, that’s down from 13-percent in 1994. The Policy Forum says total taxes in the state, including income taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes actually went-up about two-and-a-half-percent last year. But the report says incomes jumped by almost three-and-a-half-percent. Eric Bott, with Americans For Prosperity said while the tax burden went down, people in Wisconsin are paying a dime out of every dollar that they earn in taxes.
